Job Description
A global industrial manufacturing organization is seeking an Operations Finance Manager to support a critical manufacturing site in Clinton, South Carolina. This is a high-impact, highly visible role for a finance leader who thrives in a manufacturing environment and enjoys operating as a true business partner to plant leadership. You’ll own the operational side of the P&L and play a key role in driving plant performance, cost visibility, and cross-functional decision-making.
This is more than a traditional plant controller role. We’re looking for someone who can combine strong manufacturing finance fundamentals with broader business acumen - someone who can connect operations, supply chain, planning, and finance to improve performance and drive results.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the operational side of the P&L for a key manufacturing site
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Oversee inventory, standard costing, and manufacturing variance analysis
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and planning teams to improve cost transparency and performance
- Build financial models around capacity, capital investments, and margin improvement
- Support monthly close, inventory valuation, and internal controls
- Identify operational bottlenecks and partner cross-functionally to solve them
- Translate financial data into actionable business insights for plant and leadership teams
- Support broader operational and strategic initiatives across the business
What We’re Looking For:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance, operations finance, or plant finance
- Strong background in cost accounting, inventory, standard costing, and variance analysis
- Experience supporting plant operations in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and leadership
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and business partnering skills
- ERP experience required (SAP preferred)
- Power BI and/or OneStream experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA / CMA preferred; MBA a plus
Why This Opportunity:
- High-visibility role with direct exposure to senior finance and operational leadership
- Opportunity to influence performance at a critical manufacturing site
- Broader scope than a traditional plant finance role
- Strong runway for long-term growth into broader finance leadership
- Collaborative culture with strong executive support
- Opportunity to drive meaningful operational and financial impact
Work Environment:
This is an on-site role in Clinton, SC. The expectation is strong in-person visibility and partnership with plant leadership, especially early on, with some flexibility over time once established.
