Packaging Development Technologist

PT Arnott's Indonesia is a multinational company with brand Good Time and Nyam Nyam. We are looking for a Packaging Development Technologist to hands on delivery for packaging development for Snacking International projects. This is a 12 - months contract role, based in Bekasi.

Responsibilities:Execute accurately and efficiently based on the SOP for the packaging development project to agreed standard, costs, and time frames following agreed activity on NPD/Co-man Renovation and Packaging Sustainability projects.Contributes required technical information to generate specifications by consulting with the Manager. Ensures all projects are fully and accurately documented. Supports launches by assisting in troubleshooting during the handover period.Assist in the delivery of long-term innovation projects and Enabler Projects.Support packaging technical research to ensure the packaging material works as per standard.

Support Development activity to make sure Packaging Artwork before print to supplier within the Packaging guideline and with clear information on Packaging Specification, and Packing InstructionProactively develops self-awareness of packaging trends, innovative packaging and technologies to facilitate the development of new and / or improved Packaging Quality and/or consistent processes / systems Ingredients you will need to be successful in this role:Min. Bachelor's degree with a Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Chemical Engineering background. Having experience in the FMCG industry, with a minimum of 2 years, good knowledge of general FMCG Packaging, Manufacturing Systems, and Processes.Familiar with lab equipment and toolsExcellent in English – both in verbal and writtenUnderstand Basic Principles of Packaging material: Flexible film, Rigid Plastic, Paper, Corrugated, and Tins Material.Basic knowledge packaging technology process : Converting process, printing application, plastic molding process.Proficient in Packaging System and Development : Flow process start from prototyping, costing, formulating, trial, transport & handling test, shelving test, and shelf life determination.Familiar with Packaging Manufacturing process : Vertical and Horizontal machine packaging, welding and sealing process, secondary pack machine process : auto cartoner, outer wrap, and case pack Basic knowledge for design flow system and pre-press process, design tool software skill (Adobe AI & PS), layout analysis and design modification and Microsoft (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
