Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated and skilled Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join a robust, interventional-focused outpatient practice. The ideal candidate will evaluate and treat a wide range of pain conditions, providing compassionate care to patients suffering from chronic health issues or injuries that cause pain. This role involves comprehensive patient assessments, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and the development of individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients experiencing chronic or acute pain.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Design comprehensive pain management strategies, including interventional techniques, medications, physical therapy, and other conservative treatments.
• Administer therapeutic methods to relieve pain and improve patient comfort.
• Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques and coping strategies.
• Act as a liaison between patients and physicians to monitor medication effectiveness and adjust treatments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) license with eligibility to practice in New York State.
• Strong understanding of pain disorders and their management.
• Ability to assess and treat complex pain conditions.
• Proficiency in prescribing appropriate medications for pain relief.
• Skilled in utilizing diagnostic tests to identify pain sources.
• Experience with basic injection techniques is highly preferred.
