Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license. Must be Board Certified.
- Experience: Must have at least 1 year of experience in Pain Management as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in pain assessment, medication management, interventional pain procedures, and electronic health records.
- Soft Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and pain evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized pain management treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including controlled substances, in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and families on pain management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with practice standards and regulatory requirements.
