Job DescriptionJob DescriptionParts Receiving SupervisorDepartment:Warehouse/NC OperationsReports to:Warehouse ManagerLocation:Wendell, NCPosition Status:Full-timeStatus:Hourly, NonexemptManagement Level:Management JOB SUMMARYThe Parts Receiving Supervisor manages all incoming parts and accessories inventory, overseeing unloading, inspection, and storage while leading a team to ensure accuracy and safety. Key duties include training staff, reconciling shipments against records, maintaining inventory systems, managing docks, and enforcing safety regulations. The Parts Receiving Supervisor will also assist warehouse management with various other responsibilities as needed/assigned.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOBManage daily receiving, unloading, sorting, and storage of materials to ensure accurate and prompt processingCommunicate with all team members and other departments to complete tasks Ensure that quality objectives and daily delivery goals are met Confirm receipts and conduct product quality inspections upon arrival at the warehouseDevelop and implement procedures to improve warehouse efficiency, organization, and space utilization Analyze data from various sources to make decisions to optimize efficiency Coordinate with logistics team to form an appropriate inbound schedule Order new supplies as needed in a cost-effective manner Ensure all invoices are filed appropriately from an accounting perspective Determine and track Warehouse KPI metrics Software systems maintenance, including monitor work in progress queues Aid in the interviewing/hiring of new employees Ensure that the warehouse associates are properly trained and up to date on the necessary certifications Provide coaching, mentoring, and issue corrective action when necessaryEnsure a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment while enforcing safety regulations/policyTechnical proficiency of using inventory software and handheld scanners to track partsProblem solving background of identifying and correcting inventory discrepancies or logistical bottlenecks EDUCATIONAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSPrevious warehouse supervisory experience required consider the following: 2+ years of experience in a warehouse, shipping, or receiving environment, with prior leadership experience preferred.Proficient in inventory software, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office (Excel).Valid Driver’s LicenseHigh School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred Knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse practicesProper Forklift training required – Forklift certifications preferred Ability to work flexible shifts (6AM – 7PM) Strong communication, leadership, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for long periods of time, and work in a non-climate control environment
