Payroll Officer

SkyCity Adelaide is seeking a Payroll Officer to join the Finance team in a full‑time position.

About the Opportunity

This role is responsible for ensuring SkyCity employees are paid accurately and on time, with all payroll activities delivered in line with Australian payroll legislation, the SkyCity Adelaide United Workers Union Enterprise Agreement and internal organisational policies. You will manage effective relationships across Finance, People and Culture, Workforce Planning, departmental leaders and SkyCity employees, while also liaising with external bodies such as Service SA, Centrelink, the United Workers Union, super funds and financial institutions. As a key contributor to payroll operations, you will also identify opportunities for continuous improvement, supporting enhancements to processes and systems that strengthen service delivery across the wider organisation.

About You

You are an experienced and detail‑focused payroll professional with strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Enterprise Agreements and compliance requirements, including STP, the Superannuation Guarantee Act and the Fair Work Act. You thrive in fast‑paced environments, are highly organised and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy. With advanced MS Excel skills and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, you build trusted relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and confidently work under pressure to meet critical deadlines.
