Position Summary
The Division of Hospital Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina is recruiting pediatric hospitalists. This is an open‑rank faculty position on the fixed‑term track. Primary clinical responsibilities will include in‑house day, evening/night coverage with direct patient care, supervision of residents and fellows and teaching of medical students at North Carolina Children’s Hospital (NCCH).
Patients will include general pediatrics, newborn nursery, bone marrow transplant and co‑management with other pediatric specialties.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements
- Doctorate: MD or DO
- Pediatrics residency in an accredited program
- Full North Carolina physician medical license
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience
- The ideal applicant will have experience/interest in quality improvement and medical education and have broad clinical experience
- The ideal candidate will be BC/BE in General Pediatrics and/or Hospital Pediatrics; however this is not a requirement
