More info at Akidolabs.com. The Opportunity: As a Peer Navigator, you'll be a caller's consistent, human anchor—helping people move from "I need help" to "I'm connected and staying connected." In this role you will run structured clinical intakes using Scope (Akido's clinical AI) , and you'll also drive navigation, follow-up, and retention. You'll work tightly with SUNs, prescribers, and operational teammates to move callers rapidly into appropriate substance use care.
What you'll do: Warmline engagement & support: Provide empathetic, structured support to callers seeking help for substance use and related needs; de-escalate and maintain rapport. Clinical intake in Scope: Conduct clinical intakes using Scope, following Akido protocols, scripts, and decision support (e.g., history, substance use patterns, prior treatment, meds/allergies as applicable, risk/safety screening, readiness, goals). Rapid care coordination: Coordinate next steps based on intake outcomes—handoff to SUN/prescriber workflows, scheduling, pharmacy logistics (as applicable), and linkage to treatment programs.
Care navigation: Connect callers to the right level of care (MAT access, outpatient, detox/residential referrals, counseling, harm-reduction services, basic needs). Barrier-busting: Troubleshoot obstacles (phone access, transportation, appointment reminders, documentation needs, benefits navigation support as applicable). Follow-ups & re-engagement: Run structured outreach for missed connections/no-shows; support retention and continuity until the handoff is stable.
Safety protocols: Identify red flags and warm-transfer to crisis services/EMS when indicated, following Akido escalation protocols. Documentation & quality: Document intakes and follow-ups accurately and on time in Scope and other Akido systems; participate in QA, coaching, and continuous improvement. Team collaboration: Coordinate tightly with SUNs and prescribers; contribute to daily huddles and process improvements.
Who you are: Required: Experience working for a warmline and/or SUD program (1+ year strongly preferred). Required: Comfort performing structured clinical intake workflows and following protocols/scripts (Scope training provided, but baseline competency expected). Strong phone presence and ability to build trust quickly with high-acuity callers.
Fluency with harm reduction and trauma-informed engagement. High reliability, strong attention to detail, and excellent documentation discipline. Able to work fast without cutting corners—tight turnaround times, multiple concurrent follow-ups.

Accrued paid time off (PTO) Location: Fully remote with option for staff to work out of Akido offices in LA, Kern, or IE if interested. Occasional travel to office expected for trainings.
