- Upper GI endoscopy (W/biopsy, W/foreign body removal, W/fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), W/injection of varices)
- ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) (Diagnostic, Therapeutic, W/PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy)
- Esophageal dilatation/manometry
- Esophageal manometry interpretation
- Small Bowel biopsy
- Lower GI endoscopy
- Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible, Rigid)
- Colonoscopy (W/biopsy, W/excision of polyp)
- Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
- Liver biopsy
- Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: BC
- Licenses: Licensed in VA
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Fellowship: Required
- Provide outpatient gastroenterology clinical services.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
- Collaborate with support staff including RNs, MAs, and PA/NPs.
- Supervise advanced practice providers as needed
- Provide resident and/or teaching supervision
- Maintain accurate patient records within the Epic EMR system.
- Ensure high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting.
