Portfolio Manager – Global Growth
T6 Talent Partners
Job Description
Our client is an independent asset management firm focused on delivering sustainable, long-term returns through a disciplined, high-conviction investment approach. With over $1 billion in assets under management, the firm combines the agility of an entrepreneurial boutique with the robust infrastructure and stability of a significant private parent company. They specialize in concentrated portfolios, providing institutional-grade investment solutions to both retail and institutional partners.
The firm is defined by a culture of transparency, professionalism, and a commitment to "investing alongside our partners."
About the role:
As Portfolio Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing a global growth mandate, focusing on high-quality businesses with durable competitive advantages. This is a high-impact opportunity to join a lean, high-calibre investment team. You will be responsible for bottom‑up fundamental research, global equity valuation, and thematic analysis to identify high-quality businesses that fit the firm’s investment philosophy.
In this hands‑on role, you will be deeply involved in representing the firm’s investment thesis to advisors and institutional stakeholders and growing the AUM of the mandate.
About You
- You are a high‑conviction investor with 5+ years of buy‑side experience, specifically within diversified equities.
- You are currently registered (or eligible) as a Portfolio Manager – Advising Representative with the OSC and hold the CFA designation.
- You possess a "business owner" mindset, and appreciate the opportunity to build a franchise within an overall asset management business.
- You have the proven ability to dissect financial reporting and articulate a clear investment thesis.
- You are proficient with Bloomberg, One Note and AI tools in implementing your investment process.
- You are a confident, articulate communicator capable of managing capital and supporting the sales and asset gathering process.
- You have experience managing junior team members and contributing positively to a business’ culture.
This is a rare chance to take a visible seat at a growing firm where you aren't just a cog in a machine, you are a key contributor to the investment process. Beyond a competitive base salary and a performance-driven bonus structure, you will join a culture that rewards autonomy, meritocracy, and entrepreneurial spirit. The position is based in Toronto and team members are generally in the office 5 days per week.
You will benefit from a low-bureaucracy, high-transparency setting where the focus is solely on delivering excellence.
Take the Next Step
If you are a disciplined investor looking to move away from "benchmark-hugging" and toward a high-conviction, focused growth environment, we want to hear from you.
