Power BI (Data Engineering)

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models for business and executive stakeholdersBuild and optimize data models (star/snowflake schemas) for performance and scalabilityDevelop complex DAX measures and calculations following best practicesDesign, implement, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, or cloud-native toolsIntegrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, data lakes, and cloud platformsEnsure data quality, validation, reconciliation, and monitoring across pipelines and reportsOptimize Power BI performance (query folding, incremental refresh, aggregations)Implement row-level security (RLS) and governance standardsCollaborate with data architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into analytics solutionsSupport deployment, version control, and CI/CD for BI and data engineering assetsMentor junior developers and contribute to BI and data engineering best practices Required Skills & Qualifications7+ years of experience in BI, analytics, or data engineering rolesStrong expertise in Power BI (Power BI Service, Desktop, DAX, Power Query)Advanced proficiency in SQL (performance tuning, complex joins, window functions)Hands-on experience with data engineering concepts (ETL/ELT, data pipelines, orchestration)Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, BigQuery, etc.)Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelingExperience working with large datasets and enterprise-scale BI solutionsFamiliarity with DevOps/CI-CD practices for BI and data pipelinesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills
