Salary: $175,000 - $250,000 + performance-based incentives

Description:
Our client is seeking a Principal, Capital Formation to lead fundraising efforts and build long-term relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. This is a senior, high-impact role for a proven capital raiser who can independently manage the full fundraising lifecycle and play a key role in scaling multiple venture funds over the coming years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end fundraising processes, from initial outreach and prospecting through diligence and closing
- Develop and execute capital formation strategies targeting institutional LPs, family offices, and HNW investors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective limited partners
- Clearly articulate the firm's investment strategy, performance, and positioning within the venture ecosystem
- Manage investor communications, including pitch materials, updates, and reporting
- Collaborate closely with the investment team to align fundraising strategy with fund objectives
- Maintain an active presence in the venture and startup ecosystem, including accelerators and industry networks
- Travel as needed to meet with prospective and existing investors
Qualifications:
- 5–10+ years of experience raising capital for venture funds
- Proven track record of independently leading fundraising efforts from start to finish
- Demonstrated success converting prospects into limited partners, with quantifiable results
- Deep understanding of the venture capital and startup ecosystem, including accelerators
- Experience raising capital from institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly
Preferred:
- Experience raising $100M+ across one or more funds
- Strong understanding of early-stage venture versus private equity buyout strategies
- Background in the startup ecosystem, venture-backed companies, or accelerators
- Existing network of LP relationships in North America and globally
