• Position OverviewThe Principal, NIMS School of Law, will serve as the academic and administrative head of the School, responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving excellence in teaching, research, and institutional development. The role demands a dynamic, young, and visionary leader with strong academic credentials and proven experience in higher education.
• Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory)Ph.D. in Law from a recognized university15-18 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration in a university or reputed law institutionStrong record of publications in UGC CARE / Scopus / peer reviewed journalsDemonstrated experience in NAAC/NIRF processes, curriculum design, and academic governanceFamiliarity with Bar Council of India (BCI) norms and legal education standards
• Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership to the School of LawEnsure compliance with BCI, UGC, NAAC, NIRF, and other regulatory frameworksLead curriculum development, academic planning, and implementation of outcome based educationPromote a culture of research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaborationOversee faculty recruitment, mentoring, performance evaluation, and professional developmentStrengthen industry, legal fraternity, and institutional partnershipsSupervise admissions, examinations, academic operations, and student engagement activitiesDrive initiatives to enhance the School's visibility, rankings, and academic reputationRepresent the School in university committees and external academic forumsMaintain discipline, ethical standards, and a student centric academic environment
