About the Team
UKG’s Value Engineering team helps customers connect HR, payroll, and workforce transformation to measurable business outcomes. We partner closely with Sales, Solution Consulting, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing to shape account strategy, build compelling business cases, and deliver value-based narratives that resonate with executive stakeholders.
As UKG continues to expand its global value‑selling motion, this team plays a critical role in helping customers understand the financial, operational, and strategic impact of modern HCM and Payroll solutions. We bring together domain expertise, financial insight, and storytelling to support complex enterprise decisions and elevate how value is communicated across the business.
About the Role
We’re looking for a senior individual contributor to join our Value Engineering team and help drive value‑based selling across UKG’s HCM and Payroll portfolio. This role will partner closely with Sales, Solution Consulting, Customer Success, and Marketing to shape deal strategy, develop differentiated value narratives, and build business cases that connect UKG’s solutions to measurable customer outcomes.
This person will work across complex enterprise sales cycles, helping customers quantify the value of HR and Payroll transformation through ROI, TCO, payback, and operational impact models. They will engage senior stakeholders across HR, Finance, IT, and Operations, translating business priorities into executive‑ready messaging and actionable value perspectives.
This is a highly visible role for someone who brings strong HCM and Payroll expertise, financial acumen, executive presence, and the ability to operate with autonomy in a fast‑moving environment.
About You
You are a strategic, customer‑facing value leader who knows how to turn business challenges into compelling financial and operational stories. You’re equally comfortable leading discovery, building an executive‑ready business case, and partnering with account teams on high‑impact opportunities.
You bring a strong understanding of HCM and Payroll transformation, including the operational realities customers face and the metrics that matter most to senior decision‑makers. You know how to connect product capabilities to business priorities, and you can distill complex analysis into clear, persuasive recommendations for executives.
You are highly self‑directed, thrive in ambiguous environments, and know how to influence across functions without formal authority. You enjoy building, elevating, and scaling value‑selling practices in partnership with teams across the business.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Value Engineering, Value Management, management consulting, financial analysis, or a related strategic customer‑facing role
- Experience building business cases and financial models that quantify ROI, TCO, payback period, and broader business impact
- Strong expertise in HCM and Payroll processes, including workforce administration, payroll operations, compliance, and HR service delivery
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across HR, Finance, IT, and Operations
- Experience supporting complex enterprise sales cycles through discovery, value hypothesis development, and executive messaging
- Strong executive communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate analysis into clear, persuasive narratives
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and partner cross‑functionally to drive measurable outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Value Engineering, Business Value, or Value Advisory within an enterprise software organization
- Familiarity with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI or similar platforms
- Working knowledge of data analysis, data modeling, SQL, DAX, or related technical concepts
- Advanced degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field
