Job Overview
We are looking for a talented Assistant Manager to join our Private Client team in Dublin. This role offers the opportunity to support and manage a client portfolio, delivering high‑quality accounting, tax compliance, and advisory services, and to support the development of junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage the process of preparing:
- Accounts for small companies and professional sole traders
- Associated VAT returns, payroll and corporation tax returns
- CRO filings for company annual returns
- Income tax returns
- Assist in dealing with ad‑hoc advice related issues that arise from time to time, including non‑accounting / tax related financial matters such as client investment managers, pension fund advisors, and project managing transactions such as property purchases or investments in private companies.
- Delegate tasks and review the work of junior team members; coach and mentor junior staff.
- Support business development initiatives and grow the business.
Qualifications
- Strong bookkeeping, accounts preparation and tax compliance return preparation skills (income tax, corporation tax, VAT and payroll).
- Knowledge of private client and partnership tax and some planning experience.
- Exemplary organisational and communication skills.
- Strong IT skills, including practical knowledge of Microsoft Office packages—Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Some staff management, mentoring or supervisory experience.
- ACA or CAI qualification.
Desired
- Evidence of managing a small client portfolio.
- Some tax advisory experience preferred but not essential.
- ATI or CTA qualification or the desire to work toward this.
