We are seeking a skilled and motivated Water Treatment Process Engineer with 3+ years of experience in designing, optimizing, and managing water and wastewater treatment systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in municipal or industrial water treatment processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle all aspects of design support for a range of projects from concept through commissioning.What you will do:

• Design and develop water and wastewater treatment processes, including treatment trains, PFDs, and P&IDs.
• Perform process calculations for sizing equipment such as pumps, clarifiers, filters, membrane systems, chemical dosing systems, and sludge handling units.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Support proposal development, including cost estimation and technical input.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, civil, instrumentation).
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Interact with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies as required.

Background/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in water or wastewater treatment process engineering.
• Strong knowledge of physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes (e.g., coagulation/flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, membrane systems, activated sludge, MBR, RO).
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems and instrumentation controls.
• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD / Inventor, Excel, process simulation software).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
