Job Title: Product Manager II
Type: Long term contract
Pay: 60-75 hourly
Location: 4 days onsite in Denver, Colorado
Overview
This role drives third-party partner engagement and interoperability across the Advanced WiFi ecosystem. Focused on improving device performance, connectivity, and customer experience, this position partners closely with device manufacturers, engineering, and operations to identify issues, validate solutions, and influence product roadmap decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, onboard, and manage strategic device partners (Tier-1/Tier-2)
- Establish engagement models, SLAs, and execute agreements (NDA/Evaluation/Enhanced NDA)
- Lead ongoing partner governance, scorecards, and business reviews
- Own testing strategy and execution for major releases and product launches (routers, extenders, CBU)
- Define device cohorts (mobile, CE/streaming, IoT) and test matrices (bands, DFS, backhaul, roaming, steering)
- Conduct validation in WiFi Test House; deliver reports, risk assessments, and readiness recommendations
- Manage intake across production, support, employee feedback, and vendor-reported issues
- Lead replication, triage, and RCA with engineering, test teams, and partners
- Define and validate fixes (firmware, cloud, config) and mitigation strategies
- Align fix releases with product release timelines and customer impact
- Ensure partner validation, regression testing, and post-release monitoring
- Deliver dashboards and executive updates on trends, KPIs, and issue resolution
- Provide validation summaries and readiness gates for launches
- Track device ecosystem trends (protocols, chipsets, behaviors)
- Recommend improvements, pilots, and co-development initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in Product Management, Program/Partner Management, or Technical Account Management
- Experience in telecom, broadband, or WiFi environments
- Hands-on experience with interoperability testing, lab environments, and device telemetry
- Strong understanding of WiFi technologies (802.11ac/ax/be), DFS, mesh, roaming, and client steering
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives (Engineering, QA, Ops, Legal, external partners)
- Experience with issue triage, RCA, prioritization, and release coordination
- Data-driven mindset with experience building KPIs and insights
Tools & Methodologies
- Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Smart Sheet
- Agile frameworks: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean, Six Sigma
- Experience with device telemetry platforms and release management tools
- Familiarity with Plume/OpenSync, CUJO DI a plus
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
