We're looking for a Product Manager to join our UI/UX Planning Team. This role focuses on product management for our data analytics platform serving external enterprise clients.
You'll lead our B2B data business end-to-end—from strategy development through implementation and operation—for data products provided to external brand partner companies.We're seeking someone with a strong passion for UI/UX and experience in enterprise data product business, who can balance business value with exceptional user experience.
As a Product Manager, you'll own the vision, roadmap, and delivery of the Rakuten Analytics platform UI. You'll work closely with engineers, other product managers, and stakeholders to build an intuitive and effective platform.This role requires three key mindsets: Strategic Product Researcher, Business Analyst, and Customer Success/Account Management.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & PlanningDevelop and maintain product roadmaps and execution plans aligned with business objectivesAnalyze competitive products to determine product directionDrive user acquisition, engagement, and retention
Requirements Definition & DeliveryTranslate business needs into clear specifications for engineering teamsDefine scope, milestones, and release plans (MVP and major versions)Create wireframes and mockups, actively participating in design reviews
B2B Data Product StrategyDevelop value propositions and roadmaps for external enterprise data analytics productsDefine use cases by client segment and prioritize featuresDesign and optimize revenue models for data businessPlan and execute new client onboarding processes and churn prevention strategiesEstablish continuous product improvement cycles based on client feedback
Enterprise Client SuccessUnderstand and define response strategies for client-specific customization needsSupport client business growth through data utilizationDevelop account growth strategies in collaboration with sales and customer success teamsBuild training, documentation, and support infrastructure for clients
Platform Migration & IntegrationDevelop migration strategies from existing services to new platformsCreate and execute phased migration plans that minimize client impactManage risks during parallel operation periods of legacy and new systemsDesign and implement data quality assurance and client acceptance testing
Cross-Functional LeadershipCollaborate closely with product owners, designers, engineers, QA, sales, and project managersTranslate business requirements into technical implementation specificationsAnalyze user feedback, KPIs, and production issues to inform roadmap decisionsPresent KPIs and insights to stakeholders clearly, driving alignment and prioritizationFacilitate coordination and consensus-building across multiple organizations
Requirements:Language: Able to converse in Japanese as you will be working closely with stakeholders based in JapanProduct Management: 2+ years with enterprise products (2,000+ MAUs)B2B Data Products: 2+ years with external-facing data products, analytics platforms, or SaaSData Analysis: 2+ years hands-on SQL experience and deriving insightsAnalytics Tools: Proficiency with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Tableau, Looker, Amplitude, etc.Cross-Organizational Leadership Experience: Track record driving projects across business, technology, sales teams
