General Work Schedule:
This position regularly requires long hours and occasional weekend (Saturday) and/or on-call work. May work beyond a standard full-time schedule including the number of hours and days worked per week and requires willingness to work evenings and holidays based on business needs.
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Manager (PM) is responsible for managing a team of production technicians and field supervisors to ensure successful project outcomes. They lead, train, and coach their team to deliver consistently positive results while driving sales, maintaining equipment to company standards, and complying with company safety standards. The PM is accountable for role modeling standards and reinforcing expectations set by management for their team.
They may delegate tasks and operational activities to others and supervise, inspect, train, and coach technicians to accomplish all projects in a safe and efficient manner while meeting customer service standards. Additionally, Production Managers partner with Operation Directors to drive positive outcomes on a daily, monthly, and annual basis.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the daily operation of the warehouse and assigned divisional team, including but not limited to vehicle and safety inspections, project status and completion, training, on-call scheduling, on-call response, and equipment maintenance.
• Provide leadership, coaching, consistent communication, and oversight for a team of field supervisors, lead and assistant technicians, dedicated to driving revenues, and committed to providing outstanding customer service.
• Ensure all supervisors & technicians are aware of and comply with all laws, policies, safety standards, procedures, and OSHA requirements. Immediately address and/or report violations to the Operations Director.
• Set the standard for customer service provided by technicians and field supervisors.
• Ensure supervisors & technicians attend and complete scheduled jobs according to the production schedule.
• Ensure all supervisors & technicians have completed required components of Company training programs and are adequately trained in all departmental functions. Function as a coach and mentor for technicians.
• Ensure proper truck inventory levels by service team to ensure job efficiency.
• Ensure field supervisors complete vehicle inspections and perform QA visits to residential and commercial jobs.
• Revise Standard Operating Procedures according to their division and ensure compliance.
• Deliver performance coaching and reviews to field supervisors and technicians.
• Work with technicians to create training and development plans, identify career advancement opportunities and communicate them to the Operations Director.
• Address all performance management and technician relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Assist Operations Director in coaching assigned division toward building profitable truck operations.
• Assist Operations Director in maintaining appropriate staffing/talent levels via audits, interviews, coaching, and reviews.
• Timely and accurate completion of all required reports and paperwork.
• Attend and participate in scheduled meetings with management, sales, and technician teams.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• High School graduate, GED or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Related Experience, Qualifications and/or Certifications:
• Three to five years of related warehouse/ industrial service/ maintenance experience; minimum of two years of direct supervisory experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (Required)
Computer Skills / Special Equipment Knowledge:
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Ability to learn and operate necessary computer software
• Advanced communication/ negotiation skills
• Ability to drive/operate industrial equipment including trucks, forklifts, loaders, compressors, etc.
WORK SCHEDULE
• In general, a Production Manager’s work week consists of five weekdays with the addition of on-call and weekend (Saturday) availability.
• Production Managers routinely work forty hours (40), and sometimes more, hours per week based on business, staffing and customer needs.
• Production Managers are expected to be regularly involved in daily departure and return of technicians as well as working some evenings and holidays as required by staffing and business needs. Travel is required.
• Periodically, Production Managers may find it necessary to arrange their schedule to fill staffing gaps due to technician absences, scheduled Paid Time-Off, special/promotional events or other business demands.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Production Managers generally work in a multitude of environments including office spaces, warehouse environment, and on-site with technicians and customers. The working environment involves the use of office equipment, such as computers and telephones, machinery/mechanical equipment, ladders and heavy equipment (forklift). Exposure to moderate noise, outdoor elements (heat and cold) and airborne particles.
