About the role
The Project Coordinator supports the planning, delivery, and oversight of projects within Water and Waste, ensuring activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and environmental standards.
What you’ll be doing as a Project Coordinator
- Support the development of project plans, schedules, and resource allocations for Water/Waste infrastructure and maintenance projects.
- Coordinate daily project activities to ensure tasks are delivered on time and in line with operational priorities.
- Assist in preparing project documentation.
- Facilitate communication to ensure all parties understand project requirements, constraints, and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records for H&S audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
- Monitor project risks and escalate issues that may impact regulatory obligations.
- Track project milestones, budgets, risks, and deliverables using internal systems and reporting tools.
- Prepare progress updates, dashboards, and status reports for project managers and senior stakeholders.
- Support understanding of financial systems including SAP and Daptiv to help support the teams, Project Engineers and Risk Manager when required.
Base location
Hybrid - Can be based out of any of our Thames Valley sites (e.g., Newbury (STW), Reading (STW), or Swindon (STW)).
Working pattern or hours
36 hours per week – Monday to Friday (open to flexible working).
What you should bring to the role
- Previous project, change management and/or PMO experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and challenge at all levels.
- High standard of verbal and written English.
- Ability to work flexibly when required – many projects are site‑based and you will be required to travel across the region.
- Driving licence and own car.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
