Job Description
Butterfly Staffing is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to join a growing commercial construction firm where you will play a key role in both winning and delivering projects. This is a dual-impact position responsible for developing accurate estimates and then leading those same projects through execution. You'll be involved from early concept and pricing through project closeout, working closely with leadership, field teams, and clients.
If you enjoy having ownership from start to finish, not just being handed a project, this is a strong opportunity to make an impact.
Responsibilities:
Preconstruction & Estimating
- Lead estimating efforts across hard bid, design-build, and conceptual projects
- Build detailed, accurate cost estimates and support GMP development
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and constructability
Project Management
- Manage projects from award through closeout
- Own budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting
- Lead client communication and project meetings
- Oversee RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Contracts & Financial Oversight
- Review and manage owner and subcontract agreements
- Participate in contract negotiation and execution
- Ensure projects stay aligned with contractual and financial goals
Scheduling & Field Coordination
- Partner with Superintendents to develop and maintain project schedules
- Monitor progress, productivity, and cost alignment
- Proactively identify and resolve project challenges
Safety & Quality
- Support development and enforcement of site-specific safety plans
- Ensure subcontractor compliance and overall jobsite safety
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of construction experience in project management and/or estimating
- Experience managing projects valued at $5M+
- Strong understanding of construction documents, trade scopes, and pricing
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Microsoft Office
Preferred: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
