Role Description: Project Manager manages projects from planning through delivery. Liaises between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated. Utilizes appropriate tools to plan project timelines, tasks, milestones, and deadlines.
Communicates schedule and changes to all stakeholders. Plans and facilitates project meetings to align the project team to methods and goals and to track project tasks. Prepares agendas, meeting notes, and project summaries.
Monitors task completion status to identify at risk project tasks and to develop mitigation plans. Allocates resources, budgets, and hours to the project and adjusts allocations when necessary. Key Responsibilities Project Planning Develops project plans, timelines, and milestones using the appropriate tools.
Ensure scope creep/changes are carefully managed and agreed to by appropriate stakeholders. Serve as a manager of projects from award to completion and is responsible for budget, schedule, and labor for all relevant projects. Coordination • Liaise between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, and costs are communicated effectively.
Task Management Monitor task completion status, identify as-risk tasks, and develop mitigation plans. Meetings Plan and facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, meeting notes, and project summaries. Resource Allocation Allocate resources, budgets, and hours to the project, adjusting allocations as necessary.
Quality Assurance Ensure the project meets quality standards and aligns with the project goals. Team Leadership Support and guide assigned project team(s) by fostering clear communication and collaboration. Encourage engagement and ensure team members stay aligned with project goals and deliverable.
Requirements: Basic Qualifications Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing execution of contract requirements to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority efforts in parallel with minimal direction Experience in risk identification, management, and mitigation Ability to analyze program data including direct labor hours, past performance, and Basis of Estimates (BOE) Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including experience presenting to executive and government stakeholders Experience building customer relationships and leading program reviews, technical reviews, and stakeholder briefings Working knowledge of Department of Defense acquisition frameworks and milestone-driven programs Experience with Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) processes (e.g., SRR, SFR, PDR) Familiarity with Systems Engineering Plans (SEP) and integration of technical reviews into project schedules Demonstrated experience applying Earned Value Management (EVM) to track cost, schedule, and performance Ability to manage EV metrics (CPI, SPI), forecasts (EAC/ETC), and variance analysis Experience with contract performance reporting (e.g., CPR/IPMR/IPMDAR) Experience working with suppliers and subcontract management Strong learning agility with the ability to quickly adapt in complex environments Travel : Up to 25% Preferred : Secret Clearance
