Our client, a leading provider of detox and addiction recovery services, is hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Psych NP) to join their dedicated team in Brooklyn, NY. Responsibilities:
- Engage in the processing of admissions, conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and manage psychiatric emergencies efficiently.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatment progress.
- Assist in ongoing patient care, including medication management and therapy as appropriate.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Current NY State Nurse Practitioner license and certification in Psychiatry.
- DEA registration preferred; candidates must be willing to obtain or possess current licensing.
- Ability to understand and work effectively with a diverse patient demographic.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach.
- Must be comfortable with in-person interviews and adapting to an intensive clinical environment.
