Job Title: Quality Assurance Documentation Specialist
Job Description
The Quality Assurance Documentation Specialist reviews and maintains quality documentation and batch records in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). This role ensures that all records are accurate, complete, and compliant, and clearly communicates quality findings to leadership to support consistent, high-quality production.
Responsibilities
+ Review batch records regularly to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with SOPs and quality standards.
+ Complete and update quality records and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
+ Maintain document control for quality-related records, including organizing, filing, and tracking revisions.
+ Conduct thorough batch record reviews to identify discrepancies, errors, or nonconformances.
+ Document quality issues clearly and legibly, ensuring all information is easy to read and understand.
+ Communicate quality findings, discrepancies, and trends to leadership in a clear and professional manner.
+ Follow all applicable SOPs and quality procedures when handling and reviewing documentation.
+ Collaborate with production and quality team members as needed to clarify documentation and resolve issues.
+ Support continuous improvement of documentation practices by providing feedback on recurring issues or gaps.
+ Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of all quality documents and records.
Essential Skills
+ Background in quality, quality assurance, or a closely related field.
+ Experience with document control and quality documentation processes.
+ Ability to review and interpret batch records and SOPs.
+ Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
+ High level of attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and completing documents.
+ Clear, legible handwriting for completing and annotating records.
+ Ability to read and write in the English language.
+ Strong organizational skills to manage multiple documents and tasks.
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills to report findings to leadership.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus but not required.
+ Familiarity with quality systems and production environments is beneficial.
+ Ability to work independently for extended periods while maintaining focus and accuracy.
+ Comfort working with standardized procedures and regulatory-driven documentation requirements.
Work Environment
This role is primarily based in a quality office setting, with approximately 90% of the time spent working individually at a desk reviewing and completing documentation. The remaining time may involve entering the production floor to gather information or clarify documentation, requiring comfort in a production environment. The position follows a second-shift schedule, working Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with the possibility of overtime, including some weekends based on business needs. Training will take place on first shift for a few weeks before transitioning to the regular second-shift schedule. The environment is professional and process-driven, with regular use of computers and standard office equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
