Website: www.liquidgroup.sg Role OverviewWe are seeking a senior-level leader to own and evolve Quality Assurance (QA) and Release Management across a complex, high-availability payments environment. This role is responsible for delivering rigorous, scalable, and highly automated quality and release processes that ensure reliability, security, compliance, and speed in a regulated fintech ecosystem.You will lead a transformation toward AI-accelerated testing, continuous delivery, and intelligent automation, embedding quality engineering practices across the full software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Quality Strategy & LeadershipDesign and implement an enterprise-wide QA and Release Management strategy aligned with business and regulatory requirements.Champion a “quality-first” engineering culture, shifting from reactive testing to proactive quality engineering.Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting for quality, release cadence, and production stability.Hands on leadership and mentoring of a small, highly efficient QA and release team across all product lines.
Automation & AI-Driven TestingDrive adoption of AI-accelerated testing frameworks, including intelligent test generation and maintenance, self-healing test scripts, predictive defect detection and risk-based testing. Implement end-to-end test automation across UI, API, performance, and security layers. Leverage tools to optimize regression coverage, reduce cycle times, and improve defect detection rates.Integrate AI tools into CI/CD pipelines to enable real-time quality insights and automated release gating.
Release Management & DevOps IntegrationOwn release planning, coordination, and execution across multiple products and platforms.Establish fully automated CI/CD pipelines with robust quality gates and rollback mechanisms.Ensure seamless coordination between engineering, product, operations, and compliance teams. Drive progressive delivery practices (e.g., canary releases, blue-green deployments, feature flags). Process Excellence & GovernanceDesign and enforce rigorous, repeatable, and auditable processes aligned with financial services regulations.Implement standardized frameworks for test strategy and test data management, environment provisioning and stability and defect lifecycle management.Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO27001) and internal risk controls.Continuously assess and improve QA maturity using industry benchmarks and metrics.
Performance, Reliability & SecurityOversee performance engineering to ensure systems meet high transaction throughput and low-latency requirements.Integrate security testing (SAST, DAST, penetration testing) into automated pipelines.Ensure resilience and reliability of mission-critical payment systems through rigorous validation practices.Working with DevOps to define and execute business resumption and disaster recovery planning and testing. Key RequirementsThis is a hands-on role.10+ years in QA, Quality Engineering, or Release Management.Proven experience in fintech, payments, banking, or other regulated industries. Real Time Payments experience highly desirable.Demonstrated success in building and scaling automation-first QA organisations.Deep understanding of test automation frameworks, CI/CD tools, cloud-native architectures (AWS).Experience with test data management, service virtualization, and environment orchestration.Familiarity with observability tools and production monitoring integration into QA processes.Strong stakeholder management across engineering, product, risk, and executive teams.Ability to balance speed, quality, and regulatory compliance in a high-stakes environment.Data-driven mindset with a focus on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
