Job Posting: Quality Control Inspector (QCI)
Location: Gardena
Pay Rate:$20–$30 per hour, depending on experience
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a detail‐oriented and skilled Quality Control Inspector (QCI) to support our Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure products meet high‐quality standards. This role is essential to process improvement, documentation accuracy, and maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have hands‐on experience with inspection methods, blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform Receiving, In‐Process, and Final Inspections.
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIR).
- Develop and perform specialized tests using micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, etc.
- Review all documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Inspect finished products in accordance with internal procedures or customer standards.
- Sign certifications and verify documentation accuracy.
- Maintain and file inspection records properly.
- Support customer/vendor source inspections as needed.
- Collaborate with internal departments to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Assist with QC team workload and perform inspections as required.
- Determine proper packaging methods to avoid part or gage damage.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and solid understanding of GD&T concepts.
- Proficiency using precision measurement equipment (micrometers, gage blocks, height gages, pins, optical comparator, etc.).
- Ability to input inspection results accurately into computer programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of machining, manufacturing, or quality control experience.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 (or 9001:2008) principles.
- Ability to multi‐task in a fast‐paced environment.
- Strong computer navigation skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
