Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Takeoff Specialist to support estimation and execution efforts through accurate quantity takeoffs of equipment insulation systems. This role plays a key part in cost accuracy, material planning, and project execution for EPC projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering or construction, with experience in mechanical systems and insulation scopes.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed quantity takeoffs for equipment insulation, including insulation types, thicknesses, jacketing, and associated componentsInterpret mechanical drawings, equipment layouts, and specifications to extract accurate quantitiesCollaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to validate scope and ensure alignment with project requirementsDevelop and maintain quantity tracking logs, reports, and dashboardsIdentify scope gaps, inconsistencies, and potential cost or constructability impactsSupport estimate development, change management, and forecasting activitiesAssist in improving and standardizing takeoff processes and toolsEnsure compliance with project specifications, codes, and contract requirementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)2-5 years of experience in construction, estimating, or project engineering roles with a focus on mechanical systems and insulation scopesExperience performing quantity takeoffs for equipment insulation systemsAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment layouts, and specificationsExperience in an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) environment preferredFamiliarity with insulation materials, applications, and installation practices for mechanical equipmentProficiency with common tools such as Bluebeam, Navisworks, and ExcelStrong attention to detail, organization, and communication skillsSkills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and accuracy in quantity extractionSolid understanding of construction workflows and material trackingEffective communication and coordination across disciplinesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAnalytical and problem-solving mindset
