Summary of the RoleAs Regional Product Specialist, you support the management and growth of the Product Portfolio (Interventional Oncology and Peripheral) within Terumo Interventional Systems (TIS) in Terumo Asia Pacific (TAP) region, working closely with the Regional Product Manager.
Terumo Interventional Systems (TIS) provides vascular intervention products for treating blood vessel diseases of the heart and lower limbs; imaging systems for visualizing the interior of blood vessels; and interventional oncology devices for liver cancer chemotherapy. While pursuing better treatment outcomes, device usability and quality for interventional physicians, TIS also contributes to minimally invasive care that reduces patient burden.
In this role, you will be supporting the execution of TIS product marketing strategies that increase TIS business brand awareness, drive sales, and ultimately boost revenue, based on short-term and long-range business plans, to grow business outcomes based on TAP growth strategy and directions. This includes working closely with countries to support growth initiatives, localize value propositions, and execute training programs to upskill countries’ Product & Marketing team and salesforce. Support the implementation and execution of marketing initiatives with defined and measurable KPIs.
You’ll support and contribute inputs to the annual budget planning, forecasting and S&OP management process from the TAP Business Unit side. Acting as an active contributor, to Growth Mindset, to collaborate with cross-functional and country teams to drive commercial excellence and continuous improvement in processes, efficiency, and results.
Key Functions / Responsibilities
Overall, as Product SpecialistSupport and coordinate marketing efforts across multiple marketing campaigns for a diverse portfolio of TIS products within the region, ensuring effective promotion and brand consistency.Work closely with Regional Product Manager, Associate Marketing Director, Commercial Director and the country’s commercial team to develop, implement and execute short-term and long-range business and marketing plans to meet business results.Support the development and execution of go-to-market product marketing strategy and initiatives, including new product launches to drive business goals, aligning with Global, TAP and TAP-TIS strategy and directions.Support and align on the messaging and positioning of products or solutions offered to customers. Collaborate with country teams and regional cross-functional teams to execute integrated marketing initiatives, including digital, social and traditional channels, to ensure that the overall marketing strategy aligns with the company’s goals and objectives.Analyse market data and customer insights to support the identification and targeting of key customer segmentsMonitor and optimize campaign performance, adjusting strategies to meet overarching marketing goals.Engage with key markets, focus on customer segmentations (clinical, operations and economic), linking to buying and sales process, market dynamics, to enhance marketing reach and impact, supporting the purpose of defending and/or accelerating business growthSupport the development and execution of customer loyalty programs that will help in strengthening brand loyalty and maximizing brand value among existing customers, and improve brand value with new and competing users.
Downstream marketingDownstream activities, including marketing programs and activities, marketing collateral, education tools and material developed by Product Marketing Team, support the commercial teams’ needs, including the design of evidence required and collections (data, testimonies, statements, etc).Facilitate and support relationships management with potential KOLs & KOLs, and cross-country collaborations among KOLs on academic / scientific initiatives.Support and coordinate internal marketing communications including newsletters to boost confidence, share best practices, celebrate successes and keep commercial teams abreast with the latest product materials, trends, and competition news.Proactively understand the learning needs of commercial teams including distributors.Support the planning and tracking of the annual marketing budget
Upstream marketingDevelop in-depth knowledge of key healthcare trends with a focus on customer needs, therapy progress, new technologies and competitors’ activityTrack competition activity and provide inputs and feedback in regular report out to the Global TIS Product & Marketing teamProvide insights and represent TAP region customers and countries on their needs with supporting facts and evidence to Global TIS Product & Marketing teams.Facilitates market research / VOCs to assess the customer needs, key trends, current portfolio gaps, market potential, price / value offerings, etc.Collaborate with the global marketing organization to explore and launch new products.
Business intelligence and analyticsProactively learn and understand competitive landscape, market trends and dynamics, analyse market versus business performance, and support the Product Marketing team to develop and implement action strategies and counterstrategies.Oversee reporting and analytics updates to ensure timeliness, provide insights to countries, and work closely with countries on defence and/or growth strategyMeasure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns by automating data analysis on campaign performance and adjusting strategies accordingly to optimize results

RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Science related field / nursing, or medical related / business administration / Marketing3 – 5 years of experience as Product Marketing, Product Management or related commercial roles in the medical device industryMust have experience in Interventional Oncology or/and Peripheral Intervention experienceRegional exposure would be an advantageStrong strategic thinking and marketing acumenStrong in market research and analysis skillsAbility to work collaboratively across different levels and in multicultural work environmentLeadership and people management skill to foster relationship and influence outcomesExcellent communication and presentation skills to communicate value and results to all customer segments, and internal stakeholders.Be creative in problem solving and innovative in marketing ideas to stand out among crowded market
