Remote Engineering Director

As a leader, you will integrate advanced AI tools and establish operational excellence across a global, high-performing engineering team. Your focus will be on cultivating talent, managing change, and driving innovative solutions that align with strategic business goals. Accountabilities

• Champion the integration of AI-powered tooling across the engineering organization to improve developer efficiency and code quality.
• Architect and implement an AI product strategy in collaboration with Product and Design teams.
• Build internal AI engineering platforms and libraries to facilitate safe and responsible AI adoption.
• Own and continuously enhance the engineering operating model from planning to delivery.
• Maintain a high say/do ratio and ensure consistent agile delivery practices across global teams.
• Lead quarterly and annual engineering planning cycles, translating business objectives into engineering commitments.
• Track key performance indicators of delivery health and drive initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Lead and coach a global engineering organization, focusing on skills development and AI literacy.
• Drive change management strategies related to technology transformations and innovation.
• Serve as the primary engineering voice in executive conversations, conveying risks and progress.

Requirements

• 15+ years of software engineering experience, with 7+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven track record of delivering complex programs on time and improving team performance.
• Hands‑on experience with AI/ML tools and product feature integration.
• Demonstrated change management skills in technology and cultural transformations.
• Experience managing Engineering Managers across diverse, global teams.
• Deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures and modern software development practices.
• Background in highly regulated domains such as automotive or fintech is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills to leverage engineering metrics for decision‑making.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
