Overview
The Director of National Accounts with Hotel Del Coronado and Waldorf Astoria Grand Wailea represents the hotel in the development of market segments and new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships with assigned accounts, consistently striving to maximize revenue in rooms, public space, food and beverage, and ancillary products and services. The role is remote, and the successful candidate will wield strong client connections in the Central region handling the incentive market.
Responsibilities
- Represents the hotel by soliciting, responding to, and negotiating with persons requiring large and complex group accommodations (generally over 60 guest rooms) with or without meeting space and/or on‑site catering, based on market segment and account files assigned by the Director of Group Sales.
- Handles significant customer interactions regarding sales and operational questions, concerns, and issues, negotiating contracts and commission agreements with customers and third‑party agencies.
- Prepares proposals and/or contracts advising prospective customers of hotel guest rooms, meeting space, and banquet dates, including price quotation.
- Develops sales forecasts, salesperson productivity metrics, and market segment plans.
- Monitors successful execution of these plans and oversees maintenance of sales files, accounts, and other administrative duties.
- Attends weekly sales departmental meetings and additional scheduled meetings such as tentative review, lost business review, and group‑pickup sessions.
- Conducts site inspections with potential customers, touring guest rooms, meeting space, banquet facilities, and other hotel amenities.
- Engages with clients and travel industry experts on and off property and attends major trade events worldwide to assist in developing and closing substantial business.
- Provides guidance to sales managers and training for administrative support.
- Focuses on business process improvement using best‑practice standards as office norms.
- Conducts customer (internal/external) site inspections of represented properties.
- Travels to industry and company‑related trade shows/meetings in various destinations.
- Participates in key organizations as recommended by management.
- Inputs and retrieves information from computer systems for file maintenance, correspondence, reporting, and preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Salary
The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $135,000.
