Restructuring and Distressed - Associate, Sr Associate and Director
Dundon Advisers LLC
Job Description
We are 50-person institutional finance firm currently focused on corporate restructuring, illiquid distressed investing, and debt private placements. We are national leaders in advice to Chapter 11 creditor committees and litigation creditors, and participate notably in many other restructuring, credit and leveraged finance verticals. We are based in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, with additional presence in West Palm Beach and Shanghai.
We are currently hiring at the ASSOCIATE, SENIOR ASSOCIATE and DIRECTOR levels.
ASSOCIATES are our entry-level analysts. Associates play an integral role in the marketing and execution of engagements. Candidates should have a bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or economics, or a bachelors in another field and one or more year(s) of professional experience in a finance-related position.
Candidates must have excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills and a demonstrable interest in and familiarity with capital markets and corporate financial reporting. Candidates should be creative thinkers, modelers and data-spreaders with exceptional attention to detail and precision, fluid writers, and (most importantly) agile and open-minded team players. Associates are eligible for promotion to Senior Associate between 18 and 30 months of tenure.
SENIOR ASSOCIATES perform Associate duties at a higher level of responsibility, creativity and output. Senior Associates have one to three years of restructuring or closely allied (e.g., distressed investing, high yield or leveraged finance) experience; three or more years of finance experience with demonstrated affinity and applicability to restructuring; or an MBA, JD or CFA with at least one year of relevant experience. Senior Associates are generally eligible for promotion to Associate Director - our anchor research/analysis team role - between 18 and 36 months of tenure.
DIRECTORS at Dundon Advisers work both as supervisors of analysts and as high-level individual contributors in the marketing and execution of engagements of all sorts in the firm, but can expect to spend most of their time in our restructuring vertical. Candidates should have a bachelors degree and either (a) an MBA, JD or CFA and at least three years of progressively responsible restructuring experience or (b) a bachelor degree and at least five years of progressively responsible restructuring experience. Directors are promotable to Senior Director, which is our initial engagement manager position, on a flexible time frame considering skills, relationships, and appetite for business development and leadership.
These are in-office positions in Midtown Manhattan (Fifth Avenue at 46th). All positions offer a competitive base salary; performance-based bonus; medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits with an employee pre-tax contribution to premium, 401k with match, and paid time off.
