DESCRIPTION
As a Sales and Cafe Associate at Dylan’s Candy Bar, you will be the face of our brand, delivering an unforgettable customer experience while supporting the daily operations of the store. As the first point of contact, you'll play a key role in engaging customers, sharing your passion for our products, and creating moments of joy. Your responsibilities will include driving sales, maintaining brand standards, and upholding company policies to ensure a seamless, fun, and vibrant shopping environment.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and loves all things candy and creativity.
Drive Sales & Customer Experience:
- Exceed individual KPI goals by delivering exceptional customer service and achieving quality sales.
- Engage customers with friendly, energetic communication that aligns with Dylan’s Candy Bar brand standards.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Dylan’s Candy Bar’s heritage, products, and café offerings, sharing insights to enhance the customer experience.
- Highlight current and upcoming in-store promotions and events, encouraging customer participation.
- Assess customer needs, provide tailored product recommendations, and guide them through their shopping journey.
Store Operations & Traffic Management:
- Manage store flow and wait times, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience for all guests.
- Stay up to date with all café policies and procedures, maintaining operational excellence.
- Keep all store areas clean, organized, and inviting, completing assigned tasks thoroughly and efficiently.
- Restock and recover the sales floor to support visual merchandising standards and create an engaging shopping environment.
- Accurately handle cash register transactions, ensuring correct procedures for sales, returns, and exchanges.
Event & Special Project Support:
- Assist with special projects, including in-store and off-site events, PR opportunities, and brand activations.
- Support the execution of store setups and displays, reinforcing the visual direction of the store.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all local, city, and state health food standards, ensuring a safe and clean environment for customers and staff.
Brand Standards & Best Practices:
- Greet guests warmly, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere that reflects the Dylan’s Candy Bar experience.
- Uphold brand-aligned standards and best practices, ensuring adherence to Mystery Shopper Survey
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
- Must be friendly, outgoing, and confident with an ability to easily build rapport when meeting new people
- Point of Sale and cash handling experience required.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift to 30lbs as well as climb stairs to and from the stockroom
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Have a familiarity of Dylan’s Candy Bar products and history as well as an understanding of all things candy
- Serve-safe or Food Handler’s certification preferred
