Retail Associate / Cashier

Ellen's, a boutique wine and spirits shop in Ridgewood, is looking for both part-time and full-time sales associates to work with our diverse inventory and serve our community, one of the most eclectic neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Queens.

You will expand on our sales efforts and overall growth through customer engagement and responding to customer inquiries.

 You will be exposed to a wide variety of opportunities to further your education in the industry, including invitations to trade tastings and other industry events.

What we're looking for:

 *An enthusiastic personality that can be effective while having fun.

*Reliable (i.e., maintaining schedule commitments), on-time, detail-oriented.

*Strong communication and organizational skills

*Responding to customer inquiries on various online platforms

*Take charge of Customer Service channels and respond to order concerns.

*Customer sales; capable of describing our inventory while accurately assisting guests in selecting the perfect bottle. Selling is important, but gaining the trust of our community members is paramount.

 *Assisting in opening and closing the store, including the detailed and accurate accounting of the register.

*Assisting in receiving incoming deliveries.

*Assisting in lifting wine cases.

*Assisting in stocking the showroom.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts every day of the week.
Compensation is $17.00/hour.
