STARR Restaurants at The Nora Hotel
STARR Restaurants is assembling an exceptional hospitality team for the opening of The Nora Hotel in Fall 2026.
Located in the heart of West Palm Beach’s vibrant NORA District, the 201‑key boutique hotel is developed by BD Hotels in partnership with hospitality visionary Sean MacPherson. STARR Restaurants will lead all food and beverage operations at the property, including the West Palm Beach debut of Pastis, alongside rooftop dining, in‑room service, private events, and additional hotel concepts developed in collaboration with BD Hotels.
Together, the partnership will create a dynamic destination where guests and locals gather for dining, events, and cultural experiences.
Position Overview
The Sales Manager will play a key role in driving event and private dining revenue across the hotel’s food and beverage outlets, including Pastis, rooftop spaces, private dining rooms, and additional event venues throughout the property.
Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage and operations teams, the Sales Manager will manage incoming event inquiries, develop new business opportunities, and guide clients through the event planning process from initial inquiry through successful execution.
This role requires a highly organized and proactive sales professional who thrives in a fast‑paced hospitality environment and is passionate about creating memorable experiences for guests.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Client Development
- Respond to and manage incoming event and private dining inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach and relationship development
- Establish and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, media, fashion brands, and destination management companies
- Conduct site tours and tastings for prospective clients
- Maintain and grow a strong client database to support repeat and referral business
- Communicate regularly with the Nora Hotel Sales Department regarding upcoming in-house hotel groups and related food & beverage opportunities
- Partner closely with Hotel Sales Managers to support and service all in-house group business connected to Nora Hotel guest room blocks and programming
Event Planning & Coordination
- Guide clients through the full event lifecycle including proposals, contracts, menu planning, and logistics
- Develop event orders, floor plans, and operational documentation to ensure seamless execution
- Coordinate closely with culinary and operations teams to ensure all event details are communicated accurately
- Conduct weekly BEO meetings with F&B, Sales, Valet, Guest Services, and Hotel Operations teams to align on event details, logistics, and operational needs, including rooftop access, elevator usage, guest flow, and valet coordination.
- Coordinate food & beverage needs for in-house hotel groups, ensuring seamless communication and execution between hotel and restaurant operations teams
Event Execution
- Serve as a primary client contact during event planning and execution
- Greet clients onsite and provide support to operations during events as needed
- Monitor event progress and quickly address issues to ensure a seamless guest experience
Business Development & Strategy
- Identify new event opportunities within the West Palm Beach market
- Stay informed on competitive venues and industry trends
- Contribute ideas for marketing initiatives, partnerships, and programming that drive event business
- Collaborate with hotel sales leadership to align event strategy with overall hotel demand
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in hotel events, catering, or restaurant private dining sales
- Strong knowledge of event planning and execution within hospitality environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple events and timelines simultaneously
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
- Strong relationship‑building and client management skills
- Solution‑oriented mindset and ability to remain calm under pressure
Hospitality or business‑related degree preferred but not required.
