Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for this role.Position Summary: The SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Solution Architect is C5MI's senior delivery authority for SAP PM implementations. This individual owns the end-to-end SAP PM solution architecture within an SAP S/4HANA environment, translating complex maintenance requirements across asset-intensive operations (e.g., vehicles, equipment, industrial assets, and manufacturing environments) into a scalable, maintainable SAP EAM architecture.
The Architect supports and leads blueprint workshops, directs the functional delivery team, defines the scope of work, and serves as the primary technical liaison between client stakeholders and internal SAP functional and technical resources.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Owns end-to-end SAP PM solution architecture across all maintenance streams including asset maintenance, manufacturing process maintenance, and tool management.Designs the functional location hierarchy, equipment master data structure, equipment categorization, and classification strategy for enterprise-managed assets.Defines maintenance task list design (general, equipment, and functional location task lists) and maintenance strategy selection (time-based, counter-based, single-cycle, and strategy plans) aligned to operational schedules.Architects the MRO material master and spare parts management approach in coordination with SAP MM configuration; defines material reservation, goods issue, and availability check processes for maintenance work orders.Leads blueprint workshops with client operations, SAP functional, and technical teams to document and validate future-state processes; produces Business Blueprint documentation.Evaluates legacy tool management or EAM systems against SAP PM capabilities; produces recommendations for replacement, integration, or phased implementation.Defines notification and work order type configuration, user status profiles, settlement rules, and the full planned and unplanned maintenance workflow.Establishes the SAP PM integration design with MM, FI/CO, and QM; defines cost center assignment, internal order settlement, and maintenance cost tracking approaches.Defines the authorization concept and role design for maintenance planners, technicians, supervisors, and MRO procurement personnel.Develops and maintains the Statement of Work (SoW), project delivery model, and resource plan for leadership approval.Mentors and directs SAP PM Functional Consultants; coordinate deliverables with cross-functional team members including MM/MRO and development resources.Supports proposal development and client engagements as the subject matter expert for SAP PM.Travels 50-75% to client sites to collaborate and consult in person and evaluate operations.Adheres to all certified processes and quality/security standards, including participation in quality assurance and protection of sensitive information.Perform other related tasks as assigned by direct supervisor.Education, Training, and Experience:Bachelor's degree with a minimum 8 years of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM / EAM) hands-on implementation experience, including configuration and solution design; or no degree with 12+ years of relevant experience.Minimum 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations in an Architect or Functional Lead role.Deep configuration expertise in functional locations, equipment master, maintenance BOMs, task lists, maintenance strategies, maintenance plans, notifications, and work order management.Demonstrated experience designing PM solutions for complex, multi-asset-type environments with serialized equipment and counter-based maintenance requirements.Experience with SAP MM-PM integration: MRO material masters, reservations, goods movements, purchase requisitions, and material availability checks.Experience with SAP FI/CO-PM integration: cost center assignment, internal orders, and maintenance order settlement.Strong workshop facilitation and executive communication skills; ability to lead both technical and business audiences through complex design decisions.Ability to obtain and maintain a CAC (Common Access Card); US Citizenship required.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Nice to Have:Experience in federal, government, or regulated industry environments is preferred.Experience evaluating or replacing legacy CMMS or EAM systems (TC-Max, Maximo, Infor EAM) with SAP PM.SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA Asset Management.Experience with SAP Fiori for mobile maintenance execution and SAP PM-PCS interface for condition-based maintenance.Prior experience in a consulting or systems integrator leadership role with responsibility for SoW development and client delivery governance.Compensation:In accordance with pay transparency law, the expected salary range for this position is $151,000 – $189,000 annually. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
