SAP Security Associate Analyst

Why this role exists:

The SAP Security Associate Analyst assists the Security Lead to plan, co-ordinate, assess and implement security measures to protect Officeworks systems and data from authorized access and disclosure. This role will focus on security practices that are related to Secure Software Development and Application Security while supporting the overall IT security operational services and technologies.

In this role you will:

Access Management & Operations:

• Investigate and respond to security incidents within the environment
• Perform application security reviews including threat modelling and application penetration testing.
• Research, deploy and document the use of security tools of consumption by the development teams.
• Work with Support teams to priorities security remediation activities.
• Facilitate regular security testing and code reviews.
• Provide security training to internal development teams.
• Track and report metrics relating to effectiveness of the application security program.
• Ensure timely and accurate access provisioning for all business users.
• Manage user access and role maintenance across the SAP landscape day-to-day.
• Execute structured and repeatable processes to resolve security-related issues and edge cases.
• Achieve key performance indicators aligned to the overall strategy and strategic objectives.

Governance, Audit & Compliance:

• Perform Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis to maintain platform compliance.
• Provide support for audit activities and reporting requirements.
• Ensure requirements and documentation comply with established governance and security standards.
• Maintain documentation and vendor engagement in compliance with applicable laws and policies.

Safety & Accountability

• Demonstrate high process discipline and attention to detail in all security tasks.
• Identify and report site hazards or incidents and participate in safety improvements.
• Actively manage safety issues to ensure timely corrective action is taken.

Qualifications and work experience:

Essential:

• Education: Degree in I.T. or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP security or access management.
• Specialist Knowledge: Strong process discipline and attention to detail.
• Core Skills: Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Technology Proficiency: SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, IAM Tools, Jira, and Audit/Reporting Platforms.
