Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDegree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as a Physical Therapist within a dynamic school environment near Ponte Vedra, FL. Starting with the Extended School Year (ESY) program in mid-June and continuing throughout a 12-week maternity leave coverage from August to the end of October, you'll provide vital services across multiple local school sites.
This full-time, on-site position (no VOCO/virtual options) allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and collaborate with a passionate educational community.Desired Qualifications:Active Physical Therapist licensure from the Florida Department of HealthPrevious school-based experience preferred, with knowledge of IEPs and pediatric PT best practicesAvailability for full-time hours (37.5 weekly), with flexibility to travel between assigned school sitesStrong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and other therapistsClearance of fingerprint/background screenings per Florida school district requirements (JLA badge process may take up to 10 business days if new prints are needed)Adaptability to caseload changes and varying age groupsKey Responsibilities:Deliver physical therapy services to students with diverse needs as outlined in their IEPs and therapy plansCollaborate with school staff, teachers, and parents/guardians to support student progressMaintain thorough documentation, monitor outcomes, and participate in IEP meetings as neededTravel between multiple assigned schools as an itinerant PT, flexibly supporting emerging caseload requirementsTake this opportunity to expand your experience working with children in school settings, manage a varied caseload, and directly impact student growth and independence.
