We are seeking a part‑time highly motivated and organized Scrum Master to support our software development teams. In this role, you will act as a servant‑leader, guiding cross‑functional engineering teams through Agile practices to deliver high‑quality, scalable software solutions.
You will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove technical and organizational impediments, and help the team continuously improve their development processes. This role is critical in ensuring efficient delivery of product increments, aligning engineering efforts with product goals, and maintaining a strong focus on code quality and delivery timelines.
The ideal candidate is passionate about Agile methodologies, understands modern software development lifecycles, and thrives in a fast‑paced engineering environment.

Your Responsibilities In This Role
- Partner with the Product Owner and engineering leads to manage and refine the product backlog, ensuring technical clarity and proper prioritization.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) with a focus on engineering deliverables and timelines.
- Support the team in breaking down epics into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria and technical requirements.
- Coach developers and QA engineers on Agile best practices, self‑organization, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Identify and remove blockers related to development, dependencies, tooling, or team processes.
- Ensure adherence to the Definition of Done, including code quality, testing, and deployment standards.
- Protect the development team from scope creep, distractions, and unnecessary interruptions.
- Promote continuous integration, delivery best practices, and iterative improvement within the team.
- Track sprint progress using Agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts) and ensure commitments are met.
- Foster strong collaboration between engineering, product, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement through retrospectives and actionable follow‑ups.

Work Experience
PROJECT SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master supporting software development teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework in a technical environment.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams including developers, QA, and DevOps.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC), CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
- Hands‑on experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, or similar.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven ability to identify process gaps and drive Agile maturity within engineering teams.
Preferred Experience
- Scrum certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) preferred.
- Background in software engineering, QA, or technical project management.
- Experience working in cloud‑based or microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, version control, automated testing).
- Experience with scaling Agile frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum@Scale.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot workflow and delivery issues.

Compensation At Fearless
Minimum Salary: $107,667
Salary Midpoint: $139,967
Maximum Salary: $181,957
Hiring Range for Role (part‑time): $53,833.50 - $73,000
This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance criteria.
