Sr. Business Development Manager – Complex Litigation | Chicago | Up to $205K
Senior Manager, Business Development for Litigation to join a top 200 AmLaw firm. This role will drive strategic growth initiatives for high-profile practices, focusing on client development, market positioning, and integrated business strategies.
About the Role
You will work closely with senior stakeholders to shape go-to-market strategies, lead cross-functional projects, and manage initiatives that strengthen client relationships and expand market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business plans for assigned practices and client teams
- Lead initiatives to deepen client relationships and identify growth opportunities
- Manage competitive intelligence, client feedback programs, and performance reporting
- Oversee pitches, proposals, and marketing materials for priority matters
- Collaborate with leadership on budgets, metrics, and strategic objectives
- Mentor junior team members and promote best practices across the BD function
- Support onboarding and integration of lateral hires
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, JD) preferred
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in business development or marketing within professional services
- Strong understanding of complex service offerings and client needs
- Exceptional communication, project management, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and operate with initiative
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems
