About the role
This newly created position as a Senior Business Intelligence Developer acts as the primary interface between the organisation and the data platform. The position utilises deep understanding of processes and deliverables to define and prototype metrics, deliver trusted, consumable analytics using Snowflake and Power BI, and develop clear, well‑documented analytical models. Partnering with teams to ensure validated logic for production deployment, playing a key role in uplifting data literacy and analytical maturity across the organisation.
This is a permanent, full‑time role based in our West Perth office.
About you
With the ability to collaborate with a diverse cohort across HR, Operations, Finance and Corporate service teams to define metrics, KPIs and reporting requirements you’ll bring a desire to increase organisational data maturity through translating complex business rules and operational processes into clear, measurable analytical logic. You’ll share MercyCare’s values and mission, enjoy accountability to deliver outcomes and solutions that work. Your key experience will include:
- Relevant qualifications with solid operational experience translating operational complexity into measurable metric definitions
- Strong SQL skills for analytical modelling, including views, CTEs and dimensional design
- Solid understanding of dimensional modelling concepts — facts, dimensions, grain and star schema design
- Experience working with cloud data warehouses, Snowflake preferred
- Demonstrated success partnering with stakeholders to create documented, clear, business‑facing metric definitions and analytical specifications
- Ability to drive cohesion and clarity while navigating ambiguity
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
