Senior Civil Engineer (EIT) – Land Development
Salary Range: $95,000 – $120,000
Position Summary
The Senior Civil Engineer (EIT) supports land development projects through all phases of design and construction. This role focuses on technical execution, independent problem-solving, and collaboration with project teams while providing guidance to junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project designs by evaluating project constraints, site conditions, project goals, agency requirements, and engineering best practices.
- Support construction administration efforts, including RFIs, submittals, and construction changes.
- Train and provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff.
- Prepare technical reports and perform complex calculations related to hydrology, hydraulics, water quality, stormwater detention, and utility sizing.
- Complete complex grading designs and earthwork calculations.
- Deliver high-quality engineering work products, including full QA/QC reviews and completeness checks, for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited four-year institution.
- 5–7 years of experience, depending on prior land development design experience.
- At least 2 years of experience independently solving complex engineering problems in land development.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Land Development Desktop (LDD), and/or Civil 3D.
- Motivated, curious problem-solver who works well both independently and collaboratively.
