Raritan, Japan Full Time Operations Jobs Japan New
Job Description
Job Description:
Managers notes:
- Specifically, we're looking for individuals who have designed and owned executive scorecards, portfolio or demand intake processes, and decision-ready leadership materials. The person should be comfortable with hands-on ownership of recurring artifacts such as the monthly digital operations scorecard and Digital Council decks and pre-reads. PLUS - candidates with consulting or strategy experience developing and operationalizing enterprise frameworks.
Senior Digital Operations Manager - MTSC Digital Excellence
Purpose: Own the operating backbone of MTSC Digital Strategy & Innovation.
Convert fragmented inputs across product, delivery, finance, and governance into executive-ready signal. Ensure predictable cadence, clarity, and decision velocity across MTSC DS&I leadership forums.
Decision Authority & Operating Expectations
This role operates with delegated authority to structure, triage, and determine readiness of materials for executive forums.
The Senior Digital Operations Manager does not own final prioritization or funding decisions, but is explicitly expected to:
- Determine when topics, scorecards, or requests are not ready for leadership review
- Push back on senior stakeholders when inputs are incomplete, mis-scoped, or misaligned to decision criteria
- Escalate issues with clear options and recommendations, not open questions
Success in this role requires comfort operating with imperfect information, making judgment calls, and prioritizing decision velocity over completeness.
Core Responsibilities
1. Digital Operations Scorecard Ownership
- Own end-to-end production of the monthly MTSC Digital Operations Scorecard
- Define and maintain metrics across portfolio health, delivery performance, value realization, capacity, and risk
- Pull inputs from Product Managers, Finance, Delivery, and Platform teams
- Normalize data, identify deltas, and surface trends
- Produce a first-draft narrative highlighting what leadership must act on
- The monthly scorecard cadence is non-negotiable; first drafts are expected to be directionally correct, decision-oriented, and produced without extensive back-and-forth.
The role prioritizes clarity and trend visibility over exhaustive completeness. Iteration occurs after leadership signal is established.
2. Digital Council Operating Rhythm
- Own the operating cadence for MTSC Digital Council
- Maintain a rolling 6-month backlog of potential agenda topics
- Intake, triage, and pressure-test topics for readiness
- Draft pre-reads with clear framing of (1) context, (2) decision required, (3) options considered, and (4) recommended path when needed
- Ensure Council time is spent on decisions, not updates
3.
Digital Demand Intake & Triage
- Design and run the MTSC Digital demand intake process
- Define intake standards, classification logic, and service tiers
- Partner with Product Managers to triage and prioritize requests
- Ensure business asks are well-formed, comparable, and decision-ready
- Provide a clean, prioritized demand view for DS&I LT
- Push back on incomplete, mis-scoped, or low-value requests
- While final prioritization decisions sit with DS&I leadership, this role owns demand shaping and comparability. Requests that do not meet intake standards or decision criteria are expected to be returned, re-scoped, or deprioritized prior to leadership review.
4. Digital Excellence Frameworks & Artifacts
- Build consulting-grade operating artifacts including
- Governance models
- RACI and decision matrices
- Portfolio views and prioritization framework
- Intake and prioritization frameworks
- Product Roadmap Enablement Framework
- Draft first versions independently using Director guidance
- Iterate based on feedback; does not require step-by-step direction
Required Experience

- Product operations
- Enterprise transformation
- Digital portfolio management
- Demonstrated experience building
- Executive scorecards
- Operating rhythms
- Intake or governance models
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity with senior stakeholders
- Experience working across product, finance, and technology teams
Required Skills

- Strong analytical skills, excel or equivalent
- Exceptional synthesis, can reduce complexity into signal
- Stakeholder pushback and expectation management
- Bias toward clarity, outcomes, and decision support
