RQ Construction is looking to bring on an experienced Senior Electrical Preconstruction Manager to lead and support electrical planning activities across multiple active projects and upcoming pursuits. This role is critical in driving the electrical preconstruction phase from early design through handoff to field teams, ensuring all systems are fully developed, coordinated, and ready for construction.
In this position, you will take ownership of organizing and advancing electrical scopes during the initial stages of projects, ensuring designs are thorough, aligned with project goals, and practical to build. You will collaborate closely with teams across Estimating, Design, Operations, and executive leadership to support pursuits through scope definition, design coordination, cost development, scheduling, procurement strategies, and risk assessment.
The role also includes participating in value engineering efforts, contributing to large-scale and complex project pursuits, and providing guidance and mentorship to preconstruction team members. Additionally, you will help drive standardization, implement best practices, and support continuous improvement efforts within the electrical preconstruction function.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $125,000 - $130,000

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline required (equivalent experience may be considered)
- Additional training in project management, construction management, electrical trade programs, BIM, or CADD is a plus
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the electrical field, including at least 2 years in an Electrical Project Manager or Electrical Preconstruction role
- Strong background in developing conceptual estimates and managing electrical and low-voltage/data system design is highly preferred
- Experience with design-build projects in government, military (DoD), or large commercial environments is a plus
- Experience with McCormick, Bluebeam Revu, P6, Autodesk Cloud, or similar construction software required
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) preferred
