Who You Are
Metropolis is seeking a Finance Business Partner for our People Organization to serve as the premier strategic financial advisor to People Operations, Payroll, and Compensation & Benefits leadership. As a systems‑builder managing the financial dynamics of a 22,000‑person workforce, you will bridge the gap between HR and Finance, translating complex human capital metrics into actionable corporate strategy to ensure our hiring plans align with long‑term growth targets.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain dynamic, predictive workforce forecasting models that project headcount requirements, base salaries, overtime utilization, employer payroll taxes, and complex benefits programs.
- Define strict reporting requirements for HRIS and Comp and Benefits programs to ensure planning, forecasting, and reporting accuracy.
- Work closely with HR and Talent Acquisition to build and maintain rigorous processes to ensure alignment on pipeline velocity and prioritization.
- Communicate financial reporting requirements to HR leadership and build automated data bridges from the HRIS to FP&A systems to eliminate manual forecasting errors.
- Evaluate the financial viability, cost impact, and ROI of compensation structures, equity dilution, annual open enrollment, and incentive compensation programs.
- Support the calculation and verification of incentive compensation.
- Serve as the key Finance partner to the People Organization on Real Estate and Workforce strategy.
- Define and track critical KPIs and translate complex human capital metrics into actionable corporate financial strategy, ensuring hiring plans align strictly with long‑term growth targets.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or as a Finance Business Partner, with significant experience partnering with HR or People Operations in a large, labor‑intensive environment.
- Advanced technical ability to extract, structure, and model large datasets originating from enterprise HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, UKG).
- Deep understanding of compensation modeling, payroll taxes, and benefits.
- Executive presence and the emotional intelligence required to actively influence, advise, and challenge senior HR leadership.
Days in Office
Metropolis values in‑person collaboration to drive innovation, strengthen culture, and enhance the Member experience. The corporate team model requires employees to be on‑site at least four days a week, fostering organic interactions that spark creativity and connection.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated base salary for this position is $158,000.00 USD to $186,000.00 USD annually. The actual base salary offered depends on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. Base salary is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which also may include healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock‑option plan, bonus plans, and more.
