Ameriprise Financial is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join the LFO team. In this role, you will lead a team providing financial support to multiple business lines within the Advice & Wealth Management segment. Key projects include overseeing annual budgeting and forecasting processes, conducting month‑end reporting and variance analysis, and evaluating strategic initiatives.
You will partner with senior leaders to review performance, forecast results, and assess business strategies to ensure alignment with enterprise goals. Responsibilities also involve maintaining familiarity with underlying data sources and controls, actively managing data change processes, and leading projects that enhance reporting and decision support capabilities.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the forecasting and planning process for the advisor field business line. Drive decisions to improve forecast effectiveness and model forward-looking metrics and financial outcomes. Provide decision support for strategic initiatives by quantifying financial impacts, evaluating multiple scenarios, and recommending actions aligned to business goals.

Deliver reporting and performance insights around monthly results. Develop Senior Leader level commentary to call out key trends and help identify potential issues that the Business can address. Influence business partner relationships to deliver results.

Look for opportunities to enhance and improve efficiencies of reporting and processes. Owning end-to-end project and process development (roles/responsibilities, consolidation of inputs, issue resolution) and leading change management to improve operating routines and efficiency.

Lead and develop a team of two Senior Financial Analysts through coaching, prioritization, and day-to-day support; ensure appropriate controls, data integrity, and risk mitigation in all deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance or a quantitative field
- 7–10 years of experience
- Experience doing complex financial modeling and financial presentations
- Ability to communicate at all levels of leadership.
- Leadership experience, direct or indirect, and ability to directly manage others.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or other advanced degree/certification
In-Office Collaboration
Employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in‑office time or different in‑office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.

Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $107,000‑$147,100 per year. This figure may vary based on role, experience, and geographic location. Most roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long‑term incentives.
