Job Summary
The Senior Manager of Project Management – Transformers provides strategic leadership and oversight for all transformer-related project management activities across the organization. This role is responsible for setting project execution standards, leading and mentoring Project Managers, and ensuring consistent, on-time, and profitable delivery of customer-specific transformer projects, including dry-type and liquid-filled transformers. The position partners closely with sales, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality to align project execution with business objectives, customer requirements, and operational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, develop, and manage the Project Management function supporting transformer product lines and customer-specific projects.
• Establish project management standards, tools, processes, and best practices to improve execution consistency and efficiency.
• Oversee the execution of complex, engineer-to-order (ETO) transformer projects from order entry through delivery and closeout.
• Ensure projects meet contractual scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction requirements.
• Provide strategic direction and escalation support for high-risk or high-visibility customer projects.
• Partner with sales and commercial teams to support order handoff, project planning, and customer expectations management.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to align project schedules with operational capacity.
• Monitor overall project portfolio performance, including schedule adherence, margin protection, risk exposure, and resource utilization.
• Lead customer-facing project reviews, milestone meetings, and issue resolution efforts as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on project execution, communication workflows, and cross-functional alignment.
• Support talent development through coaching, performance management, staffing optimization, and succession planning within the PM team.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive project management experience in industrial manufacturing or engineered products.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing project managers or cross-functional project teams.
• Strong understanding of project execution in a customer-specific, low-volume / high-complexity environment.
• Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
• Management of a team oriented or groups of project managers
• Leadership training and qualified to oversee project management group of 100 MUSD+
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the power electrical transformer or electrical equipment industry.
• Proven leadership of engineer-to-order (ETO) or make-to-order (MTO) projects.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
• Experience working with utilities, EPCs, data centers, or large industrial customers.
• Familiarity with manufacturing operations, testing, logistics, and field delivery requirements.
Work Environment
• Full-time position based in Lake Mary, FL, with hybrid work flexibility depending on business needs.
• Travel up to approximately 15–25% to support customers, factories, and key project milestones.
