Senior Marketing Planning & Projects Manager - 12m FTC
Flutter UK & Ireland
Job Description
Senior Marketing Planning & Projects Manager – 12m FTC
We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Planning & Projects Manager to join our Media & Planning Team at Betfair, part of Flutter UK & Ireland, on a 12 month fixed‑term contract.
Reporting to the Head of Media & Planning, this role operates as a senior individual contributor with one direct report. It is a highly influential position that is critical to ensuring the organisation is aligned, prioritised, and operating to a clear and consistent planning framework across regions.
The role is designed to remove friction, reduce duplication, and drive alignment in an environment where competing priorities and siloed teams risk compromising delivery and customer‑facing execution.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Lead the end‑to‑end marketing planning cycle, including quarterly planning and standalone go‑to‑market planning for major sporting events across multiple regions.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve marketing planning frameworks, governance models, and operating rhythms.
- Facilitate structured planning processes that ensure alignment of priorities across Media, Brand, CRM, Studio, Commercial, Marketing Services teams, external agencies and departmental leadership.
- Act as the central coordinator of planning inputs, ensuring clarity of priorities, dependencies, and timelines across all marketing functions.
- Drive consistent adoption and understanding of planning frameworks across the organisation, building long‑term institutional clarity and discipline.
- Support senior stakeholders (heads of department level) through facilitative leadership, ensuring alignment ahead of final decision‑making.
- Maintain high‑quality planning documentation and tracking, primarily using Microsoft‑based planning systems and structured quarterly cycles.
- Identify and implement improvements to planning processes and governance (approximately 20% of the role), increasing efficiency, clarity, and predictability.
How You’ll Play To Win
- Strong experience operating across multi‑stakeholder, multi‑team environments.
- A proven ability to influence senior stakeholders (heads of department level) without direct authority.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge, align, and drive clarity across competing priorities.
- Experience working within structured planning cycles (quarterly planning, campaign calendars, or similar operating rhythms).
- High proficiency in Excel‑based planning and tracking systems.
What's In It For You
- Flexible ways of working – home or office, it’s your choice!
- £1,000 learning fund.
- Twice‑yearly bonus (with part of it guaranteed!).
- Unlimited holiday.
- Pension contribution scheme.
- Private healthcare.
- Access to thousands of Udemy courses.
- Invest via the Company Sharesave Scheme.
- 16 hours paid volunteering time per year.
We’re working to be an inclusive employer and we encourage people from all backgrounds, ways of thinking and working to apply. Everyone brings different perspectives and experiences; you don't have to meet all the requirements listed to apply for this role.
If you need any adjustments to make this role work for you let us know, and we’ll see how we can accommodate them.
