Senior Mechanical Engineer

A multidisciplinary engineering team is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support mechanical building services design across diverse sectors including data centres, healthcare, commercial, and high-tech projects. The successful candidate will step into a leading role, leading projects, mentoring junior engineers etc.

This client have recently introduced the 4 day work week. You will work in the Dublin office Monday - Thursday, with every Friday off. 35 hours per week, no impact in pay and 23 days annual leave. As they have introduced this there is no option to work from home.

Office based in Dublin West.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in mechanical building services design
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and general mechanical systems
• Understanding of coordination with structural, architectural, and electrical models

Duties

• Assist with mechanical design tasks under supervision
• Conduct and attend site visits with senior engineers
• Contribute to the development of design files and project documentation
• Maintain quality assurance and manage routine technical tasks
• Participate in internal training, CPD sessions, and design team meetings
• Support progress toward professional accreditation
• Develop expertise in industry-standard software tools
• 23 days annual leave
