ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Officer to support the delivery of accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll services across the business.
You’ll play a key role in payroll transformation, system improvements, and operational excellence, while partnering closely with Finance, HR, and Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Interpret EBAs, Awards, and legislation to ensure compliant payroll outcomes.
- Oversee payroll compliance, audits, and reporting.
- Support payroll accounting activities, including reconciliations, journals, and leave provisions.
- Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and collaborate with stakeholders while mentoring junior team members
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll (complex / multi-site)
- Strong knowledge of EBAs, Awards, and payroll legislation
- Experience with payroll accounting and reconciliations
- Exposure to system improvements or payroll transformation
- High attention to detail and strong stakeholder engagement skills
