- Contract role - 3 months - immediate start
- Hybrid: 3 days WFH + 2 days in office -Inner Easter Suburbs
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience ($40ph - $60ph + super)
About the Role
Our client is a reputable organisation based in the inner-eastern suburbs who is seeking 3 Senior Payroll Officers to support with a large backpay project. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with strong Excel skills who enjoys working with large amounts of data, problem-solving, and contributing to project-based environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with payroll processing including back-dated and manual data Perform backpay calculations across multiple awards and EBAs
- Review and validate historical payroll data, including shift patterns, allowances and penalties
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and investigate variances
- Support remediation activities linked to system changes and business acquisitions
- Work closely with Payroll Manager and wider payroll team
- Assist with data analysis and reporting using Excel
About You
- Proven experience in payroll within high-volume, complex environments
- Strong understanding of awards, EBAs and shift-based payroll
- Experience with backpay or remediation projects highly regarded
- Advanced Excel skills (reconciliations, data analysis, cross-checking)
- High attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven tea
- Must be immediately available and able to commit to the project duration of 3 months (potential to extend)
